The Perfect Day Gallery
How can Fine Art help uplift, inspire and give hope to children in high risk/low income schools? What connection can paintings, hanging on a wall, make to a child whose smallest worry in life could be, Is it safe to go home? Well, there is a very important one, one that can change a child’s life.
Children in high environments carry a burden many adults do not experience. They must exist in an environment where they feel they have no control. Their home life is a constant struggle to survive, which leads them to believe that’s just the way life is. It creates the illusion that no matter how hard they try, it doesn’t matter and that things like art have nothing to do with them.
But what does art have to do with them. How can art make an impact on a child whose options in life seem to have already been chosen for them?
Art shows children that a unique viewpoint can be created, that imagination has a place in a physical form, but most importantly, it asks them to think without being wrong. This is monumental.
Giving children the permission to think or respond without judgment is a very crucial step in empowering them to believe they can be in control of some part of their lives. It is the first step toward believing there is hope for a brighter future.
Our Perfect Day Collection utilizes this powerful connection to uplift, inspire and give hope to children.
The Perfect Day Collection is a gallery of three giclee reproductions from artists whose purpose is to uplift, inspire and give hope. We carefully select the artists we ask to participate in our program. Their style, use of color and message must connect to children.
The Perfect Day Collection is the introduction to our program, Chasing Your Dreams, which empowers children to build a brighter future by using the practical power of imagination.
The collection is donated to high risk/low income schools through local sponsorship.
