In Lafayette, Louisiana we held our first Benefit Concert for children-in-need in their area. The concert and the proceeds allowed us to provide uplifting and educational materials to 2,000 children in four schools and the Women’s and Children’s Hospital of Acadiana.
The legendary Art Garfunkel (one half of Simon and Garfunkel) performed to a lively, sold out crowd and it was a concert many described as one of the greatest experiences they have ever had!
We work with corporations and foundations in partnership with local sponsors to bring concerts such as this into their communities.
The proceeds from the sale of the tickets are used to provide uplifting and educational materials in the form of the Perfect Day Collection to local Title 1 schools, shelters and hospitals.
The Perfect Day Collection includes artwork, books, music and activities. The artwork is created by notable artists and designed to uplift, inspire and give hope to children-in-need. These framed, signed and numbered, limited edition reproductions are hung in local high-risk environments (title 1 schools, hospitals or local clubs for the underprivileged).
This collection introduces and encourages the practical power of imagination. These materials are given to children experiencing a high level of anxiety over their circumstances in life to comfort them and give them hope for a brighter future.
